Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that Limpiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipulekh are integral parts of Nepal, and neighboring friendly nations should not be offended by Nepal’s stance on the matter.
Speaking at a press conference organized today in Parsa by the Nepal Press Union, Minister Lekhak said Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was right to object to the India-China agreement that designates Lipulekh as a bilateral trade route.
“Limpiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipulekh are Nepal’s land. Declaring our territory as our own should not harm relations with any country,” he said. “Our friendly neighbors India and China have no reason to be upset. That land belongs to us, and we are clear about it.”
Minister Lekhak further clarified that Prime Minister Oli’s objection during his visit to China regarding the India-China deal over Lipulekh was valid. He also stressed that Nepal’s territory will not be allowed to be used against any nation.
