Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has convened a meeting of the Central Security Committee. The committee is chaired by the Home Minister and includes the Home Secretary, Defense Secretary, and representatives from all four security agencies of Nepal.
The meeting will review the progress made in the Integrated Election Security Plan being prepared by the Central Integrated Election Security Committee. It will also provide necessary support and policy-level directives for further action.
The Integrated Election Security Committee is led by Joint Secretary Anand Kafle, Chief of the Peace, Security and Crime Control Division at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The committee was formed immediately after Minister Aryal assumed office. It includes representatives from all four security agencies, and Under Secretary Rabindra Adhikari serves as the member secretary.
The security plan prepared by the committee will be sent to all districts for implementation. The District Integrated Election Security Committees, led by Chief District Officers (CDOs), will be responsible for executing the security strategy at the local level.
