Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has called on protest groups staging demonstrations in the streets with various demands to come to the table for dialogue. Speaking after a high-level security meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, which included chiefs of the security agencies, Aryal made it clear that the government is ready for talks.
“Political demands are addressed through dialogue. They must come for talks. The government is ready for dialogue—there is no need to go to the streets,” said Home Minister Aryal.
He urged demonstrators to ensure that their actions do not infringe upon the rights of others while exercising their democratic freedoms.
“Public and private properties must not be damaged. There should be no violent activities anywhere. This is the government’s request to all political forces and protest groups,” he added.
Sharing details of the Baluwatar security meeting, Aryal said a detailed analysis of the country’s current security situation was conducted. He stated that the government is focused on restoring normalcy and creating a favorable environment for upcoming elections.
