Home Minister Omprakash Aryal held a discussion with the heads of all three security agencies on the latest political developments and disaster management issues.
The meeting was attended by Nepal Police Inspector General Chandrakuber Khapung, Armed Police Force Chief Raju Aryal, and representatives from the Nepal Army, according to sources.
During the discussion, participants exchanged information regarding the current political situation and coordination among the security bodies in disaster response.
Earlier, tensions had reportedly arisen between the security agencies and the government after Minister Aryal had sent a letter to the police headquarters instructing the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. Later, reports indicated that Aryal had backed down from that decision.
