
The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to observe national mourning in honor of those who lost their lives during the Gen-Z movement.
Newly appointed Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal made the decision shortly after assuming office today. As part of the observance, the national flag will be flown at half-mast.
Minister Aryal also announced that each bereaved family will be provided with Rs. 100,000 to cover funeral expenses, and the government will arrange to transport the bodies to their respective homes.
At the ministry, Minister Aryal was welcomed by Home Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, Inspector General of Police Chandrakuber Khapung, Armed Police Force IGP Raju Aryal, and the Acting Chief of the National Investigation Department, among others.
