The exams, originally scheduled to start on Baishakh 11, were delayed by 10 days due to a 29-day educational strike led by the Nepal Teachers’ Federation, finally commencing on Baishakh 21 and continuing until Jestha 2. A total of 510,987 candidates participated.
Despite the delay, the results were announced just one day later than last year.
The board has also announced supplementary exams for students who received ‘non-grade’ results. These exams will be held on Bhadra 28 and 29. Students who failed in up to two subjects or were absent in two subjects are eligible to sit for these supplementary exams, Dr. Sharma added.
