
India secured a place in the Asia Cup T20 Super 4 final after defeating Bangladesh by 41 runs in their second Super 4 match.
Batting first, India set a target of 169 runs, scoring 168/6 in their 20 overs. Opener Abhishek Sharma starred with a brilliant half-century, smashing 75 runs off just 37 balls, which included 5 sixes and 6 fours. Hardik Pandya added 38 runs, while Shubman Gill contributed 21 runs. Other Indian batters failed to make significant scores.
In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for 127 runs in 19.3 overs, falling short by 41 runs. Opener Saif Hassan top-scored with 69 runs, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled to build partnerships. For India, Kuldeep Yadav was the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets for 18 runs.
Earlier in the Super 4 stage, India had defeated Pakistan, while Bangladesh had beaten Sri Lanka. Later today, Pakistan and Bangladesh will face each other at 8:15 PM (Dubai time). India will play their final Super 4 match against Sri Lanka tomorrow, though Sri Lanka is already out of contention for the final.
