A roundtable discussion aimed at strengthening cooperation between India and Nepal in new technology and startups was successfully held in Janakpurdham.
The event was organized by the India-Nepal Center of PHDC-CII, in collaboration with the Indian Consulate in Birgunj and the Birgunj and Janakpurdham chapters of the Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF). It saw active participation from startup founders, young entrepreneurs, and representatives of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), with over 40 delegates attending.
Addressing the program, Indian Consul General in Birgunj, Devisahay Mina, emphasized the importance of such dialogue initiatives for expanding India–Nepal cooperation in technology and startups. He highlighted that India’s expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), information technology, and IT-enabled services could be highly beneficial for Nepali entrepreneurs.
The event is expected to foster knowledge exchange, partnerships, and new investment opportunities between entrepreneurs of both countries. Such initiatives are believed to contribute significantly to developing Madhesh Province as a startup hub while strengthening economic and technical collaboration between India and Nepal.
