New Delhi — India has welcomed the formation of Nepal’s new interim government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
Shortly after Karki was sworn in by the President, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement expressing optimism that the new government would help ensure peace and stability in Nepal.
“As a close neighbor, democratic partner, and long-term development partner, India remains committed to working closely with Nepal for the mutual benefit and prosperity of both nations and peoples,” the statement read.
