
Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to visit Nepal on Bhadra 1 (August 17) to extend a formal invitation to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for an official visit to India.
Despite having been in office for 13 months, Prime Minister Oli has yet to make an official trip to the neighboring country. According to reports, the Indian side plans to invite Oli for a visit between Bhadra 31 and Ashoj 1 (September 16–17). However, no official statement has been released by the Government of Nepal regarding the visit.
Misri is expected to hand over the invitation sent by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his stay, he is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Oli, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Foreign Secretary, and other senior officials.
