Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Indira Rana Magar has been elected to the House of Representatives from Jhapa Constituency No. 2.
According to the Office of the Returning Officer, she secured 60,110 votes. Her closest rival, CPN-UML candidate Devraj Ghimire, received 11,368 votes.
In the same constituency, Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Keshav Kumar Bhandari received 7,291 votes, Nepali Congress candidate Sarita Prasai secured 5,616 votes, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Bhadra Prasad Nepal received 3,966 votes.
Out of a total of 147,522 registered voters in the constituency, 96,436 votes were cast. A total of 18 candidates—including 15 from political parties and three independent candidates—contested in the election.
