CPN (Unified Socialist) senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has said that efforts are underway to unify the party. Speaking at a gathering of leaders close to him in Kathmandu on Saturday, Khanal stated that the party will be reorganized and made unified.
He remarked that the party is currently fragmented and needs to be brought together as a whole. Khanal also mentioned that he has no objection to returning to the CPN (UML) if a favorable environment is created.
However, indirectly referring to UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Khanal said, “Just saying ‘come back home’ is not enough; the door must be properly opened and the place to stay must be well prepared.”
Khanal further expressed that discussions are ongoing to achieve broader unity within the communist movement.
