Singer Jhuma Limbu and The Raithane Band are set to launch the “Raithane Ghumfir Concert 2082” in collaboration with the upcoming film “Jaari 2,” which is scheduled for release on October 19 (Asoj 3).
As part of the tour, Jhuma and her band will perform solo concerts in 10 cities across Nepal. Each show will spotlight indigenous Nepali music and dance traditions such as Hakpare Palam, Chyabrung, Ghatu, Sorathi, Deuda, and Maruni.
The concert will kick off on September 6 (Bhadra 21) at LOD Club in Thamel, Kathmandu, where the Jaari 2 team will also perform the traditional Chyabrung dance.
“This journey aims to bring our culture and music closer to the younger generation,” said Limbu. “Raithane Ghumfir will stand as a bridge connecting the music and culture of villages with the cities.”
For this year, the concert will be organized exclusively in Nepal, while plans are in place to take the tour abroad next year, according to Limbu.
