The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has issued a circular directing its subordinate committees to recommend the names of candidates for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
The party has instructed parliamentary constituency coordination committees to recommend at least three candidates and forward the names to the central office or to the Federal Parliamentary Board led by party chair Upendra Yadav.
According to the circular, district committees must recommend candidate names by Poush 10. The district committees are required to forward their decisions to the provincial committees by Poush 15. The provincial committees, after making decisions on the received recommendations, must submit the finalized list to the central office by Poush 20.
The party has also stated that if candidate names for both direct and proportional representation are not received within the stipulated timeframe, the Federal Parliamentary Board will have the authority to nominate candidates and implement the decision accordingly.
