The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal is set to organize province-level protest rallies starting Saturday, raising its 28-point key demands along with broader national issues. Party Publicity Department Chief Purna Basnet said the protests are part of the party’s ongoing series of struggle programs.
According to Basnet, the province-level rallies will be held on Poush 12 in Biratnagar, Poush 14 in Janakpur of Madhesh Province, Poush 15 in Birgunj, and Poush 17 in Bhairahawa of Lumbini Province.
He added that, in the meantime, the party has completed province-level training programs across all seven provinces as well as conventions of the provincial committees. As part of its protest campaign, JSP Nepal has earlier organized demonstrations and corner meetings in various towns and marketplaces of parliamentary constituencies. The party has also carried out peaceful sit-ins in front of District Administration Offices at district headquarters, along with district-level protest rallies and mass meetings, displaying placards and banners highlighting its demands and issues.
