Kalanga Hydro Limited has opened the issuance and sale of its Initial Public Offering (IPO) starting today. In the first phase, the company is offering shares to local residents of project-affected areas and Nepali citizens working abroad.
Out of the total issued capital of NPR 1.40 billion, 35%—equivalent to 4.9 million shares—has been allocated. Among these, 1.4 million shares are reserved for local residents. Specifically, 910,000 shares are allocated to residents of highly affected areas, while 490,000 shares are set aside for residents of other affected regions.
Similarly, 10% of the shares allocated for the general public—amounting to 350,000 shares—have been opened for Nepali citizens working abroad. Applicants in this category can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 20,000 shares.
The issue manager for the IPO is Sanima Capital Limited. The application deadline is until Chaitra 24 for both local residents and Nepali workers abroad.
