
The Kaligandaki Corridor in Gulmi district has been blocked due to landslides triggered by heavy rainfall. The road in Rakse, Ward No. 2 of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality, has been obstructed since Wednesday evening, according to the District Police Office, Gulmi.
The blockage has caused significant difficulties for locals and travelers using the corridor. Authorities are working to clear the road.
The Gulmi section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, including Gargare, Rakse, Mulk, and Kanauta, frequently experiences road closures due to landslides. Police report that within just 8 kilometers across Wards 1, 2, and 3 of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality, three separate landslides have occurred.
