The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has published the minimum wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today (Monday).
According to the committee, the prices are as follows: large tomato (imported from India) NPR 70 per kg, small tomato (local) NPR 22 per kg, small tomato (tunnel-grown) NPR 40 per kg, small tomato (Terai) NPR 40 per kg, red potato NPR 24 per kg, red potato (Indian) NPR 23 per kg, and dry onion (Indian) NPR 38 per kg.
Similarly, carrot (local) is priced at NPR 40 per kg, carrot (Terai) NPR 38, cabbage (local) NPR 55, cabbage (Nariwal) NPR 35, cauliflower (local) NPR 45, cauliflower (Terai) NPR 35, red radish NPR 25, white radish (local) NPR 10, white radish (hybrid) NPR 15, long eggplant NPR 40, and round eggplant NPR 50 per kg.
Likewise, peas are priced at NPR 50 per kg, ghee beans (local) NPR 120, ghee beans (hybrid) NPR 90, ghee beans (rajma) NPR 120, flat beans NPR 90, bitter gourd NPR 160, bottle gourd NPR 55, ripe pumpkin NPR 40, green pumpkin (long) NPR 15, green pumpkin (round) NPR 18, turnip NPR 50, okra NPR 100, sweet potato NPR 60, and yam NPR 55 per kg.
The committee has also fixed prices for leafy vegetables: mustard greens NPR 20 per kg, spinach NPR 45 per kg, garden cress NPR 60, fenugreek greens NPR 70, and green onion NPR 40 per kg.
Other prices include taro stem NPR 70 per kg, yam (tarul) NPR 60, oyster mushroom NPR 70, button mushroom NPR 320, king oyster mushroom NPR 280, broccoli NPR 35, beetroot NPR 55, jimbu greens NPR 70, celery NPR 180, parsley NPR 500, fennel greens NPR 70, mint NPR 250, and dried fermented leafy greens (gundruk) NPR 320 per kg.
For fruits, apple (jhole) is priced at NPR 200 per kg, apple (Fuji) NPR 280, banana NPR 160 per dozen, pomegranate NPR 280 per kg, green grapes NPR 230, black grapes NPR 400, Nepali orange NPR 140, watermelon NPR 80, sweet lime (mosambi) NPR 100, junar NPR 100, pineapple NPR 145 per piece, cucumber (local) NPR 60 per kg, cucumber (hybrid) NPR 35, lemon NPR 60, Chinese pear NPR 220, Nepali guava NPR 60, strawberry NPR 450, avocado NPR 250, and amla NPR 90 per kg.
