The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has fixed the wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today.
According to the committee, tomatoes are priced as follows: large Indian tomatoes at Rs 80 per kg, small local tomatoes at Rs 25 per kg, small tunnel-grown tomatoes at Rs 60 per kg, small Indian tomatoes at Rs 43 per kg, and small Tarai tomatoes at Rs 52 per kg. Red potatoes are priced at Rs 30 per kg, Indian red potatoes at Rs 25 per kg, and dry Indian onions at Rs 44 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs 50 per kg and Tarai carrots at Rs 40 per kg. Local cabbage costs Rs 70 per kg, Tarai cabbage Rs 50 per kg, and coconut cabbage Rs 50 per kg. Local cauliflower is priced at Rs 70 per kg, Jyapu cauliflower at Rs 100 per kg, and Tarai cauliflower at Rs 60 per kg. Red radish costs Rs 30 per kg, white local radish Rs 15 per kg, and hybrid white radish Rs 20 per kg. Long brinjal is priced at Rs 60 per kg and round brinjal at Rs 65 per kg.
Green peas are priced at Rs 70 per kg. Local ghee beans cost Rs 120 per kg, hybrid ghee beans Rs 100 per kg, and rajma beans Rs 130 per kg. Flat beans are priced at Rs 90 per kg. Bitter gourd costs Rs 180 per kg, bottle gourd Rs 80 per kg, parwal (Tarai) Rs 240 per kg, ripe pumpkin Rs 50 per kg, long green pumpkin Rs 30 per kg, round green pumpkin Rs 40 per kg, turnip Rs 60 per kg, okra Rs 140 per kg, sweet potato Rs 70 per kg, barela Rs 60 per kg, colocasia (pindalu) Rs 65 per kg, and chayote Rs 80 per kg.
Mustard greens are priced at Rs 30 per kg, spinach Rs 70 per kg, garden cress Rs 70 per kg, fenugreek leaves Rs 90 per kg, green onions Rs 60 per kg, bakula greens Rs 90 per kg, yam Rs 80 per kg. Oyster mushrooms cost Rs 100 per kg, button mushrooms Rs 400 per kg, king oyster mushrooms Rs 300 per kg, and shiitake mushrooms Rs 1,000 per kg.
Broccoli is priced at Rs 60 per kg, beetroot Rs 70 per kg, sajivan Rs 220 per kg, red cabbage Rs 130 per kg, jiring greens Rs 90 per kg, kohlrabi Rs 70 per kg, celery Rs 200 per kg, parsley Rs 600 per kg, fennel greens Rs 90 per kg, mint Rs 300 per kg, gante radish Rs 60 per kg, tamarind Rs 180 per kg, bamboo shoots (tama) Rs 120 per kg, tofu Rs 150 per kg, gundruk Rs 400 per kg, and tree tomato Rs 250 per kg.
Among fruits, bagged apples are priced at Rs 280 per kg, Fuji apples at Rs 330 per kg, bananas at Rs 160 per dozen, lemons at Rs 110 per kg, pomegranates at Rs 350 per kg, Nepali oranges at Rs 180 per kg, green watermelon at Rs 90 per kg, sweet orange (mosam) at Rs 130 per kg, junar at Rs 130 per kg, pineapple at Rs 155 per piece, local cucumber at Rs 70 per kg, hybrid cucumber at Rs 50 per kg, lime at Rs 70 per kg, Chinese pear at Rs 250 per kg, Nepali papaya at Rs 70 per kg, Indian papaya at Rs 110 per kg, lapsi at Rs 120 per kg, kinnow at Rs 130 per kg, strawberry at Rs 550 per kg, kiwi at Rs 260 per kg, and avocado at Rs 350 per kg.
Likewise, gooseberry is priced at Rs 100 per kg, ginger at Rs 110 per kg, dried chili at Rs 420 per kg, green chili at Rs 140 per kg, bullet chili at Rs 150 per kg, mache chili at Rs 80 per kg, akabare chili at Rs 500 per kg, capsicum at Rs 85 per kg, green garlic at Rs 70 per kg, green coriander at Rs 80 per kg, dried Chinese garlic at Rs 220 per kg, dried chhyapi fish at Rs 160 per kg, fresh chhyapi fish at Rs 200 per kg, dried fish at Rs 1,000 per kg, fresh rohu fish at Rs 340 per kg, bachuwa fish at Rs 280 per kg, and chadi fish at Rs 250 per kg.
