The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has fixed the wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today.
Vegetables
Large tomato (Indian) is priced at Rs 70 per kg, while small local and tunnel tomatoes cost Rs 30 per kg. Small Indian and Terai tomatoes are set at Rs 45 per kg. Red potato is priced at Rs 26 per kg and Indian red potato at Rs 25 per kg. Dried Indian onion costs Rs 38 per kg.
Local carrot is Rs 50 per kg and Terai carrot Rs 40 per kg. Local cabbage is priced at Rs 40 per kg, Terai cabbage Rs 35, and cauliflower (local) Rs 30 per kg. White radish (local) costs Rs 15 per kg, while eggplant (long and round) is Rs 70 per kg. Bitter gourd is priced at Rs 180 per kg, sponge gourd at Rs 150, bottle gourd at Rs 70, and okra at Rs 130 per kg.
Leafy Greens and Others
Mustard greens (rayo) cost Rs 25 per kg, spinach Rs 35, fenugreek Rs 40, and green onion Rs 50 per kg. Oyster mushroom is priced at Rs 130 per kg, button mushroom at Rs 400, king oyster mushroom at Rs 300, and shiitake mushroom at Rs 1,000 per kg.
Fruits
Apple (local) is priced at Rs 250 per kg and Fuji apple at Rs 300 per kg. Banana costs Rs 190 per dozen. Lemon is Rs 250 per kg, pomegranate Rs 330, green grapes Rs 260, black grapes Rs 400, and Indian orange Rs 170 per kg. Strawberry is priced at Rs 500 per kg and avocado at Rs 350 per kg.
Spices and Others
Ginger costs Rs 120 per kg, dried chili Rs 430, green chili Rs 180, and Akabare chili Rs 900 per kg. Dried garlic (Nepali) is priced at Rs 200 per kg. Fresh fish (rohu) costs Rs 340 per kg, while dried fish is priced at Rs 1,000 per kg.
