The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has fixed the wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today (Saturday).
According to the committee, the prices of some vegetables, including green pumpkin, have decreased slightly today at Kalimati. However, most vegetables and fruits are being traded at the same prices as in recent days.
At Kalimati today, the wholesale prices per kilogram are as follows: large Indian tomatoes at Rs 65, small local tomatoes at Rs 30, red potatoes at Rs 23, Indian red potatoes at Rs 24, Indian dry onions at Rs 38, Terai carrots at Rs 36, local cabbage at Rs 40, local cauliflower at Rs 35, long brinjal at Rs 75, and round brinjal at Rs 80.
Similarly, bitter gourd is priced at Rs 170, bottle gourd at Rs 65, sponge gourd at Rs 135, round pumpkin at Rs 13, ripe pumpkin at Rs 50, okra at Rs 150, oyster mushroom at Rs 140, button mushroom at Rs 375, shiitake mushroom at Rs 900, and broccoli at Rs 35 per kilogram.
Yesterday, the wholesale prices at Kalimati were Rs 65 for large Indian tomatoes, Rs 26 for small local tomatoes, Rs 23 for red potatoes, Rs 24 for Indian red potatoes, Rs 37 for Indian dry onions, Rs 32 for Terai carrots, and Rs 40 for local cabbage, among others.
