The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has fixed the wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today.
According to the committee, large tomatoes (Indian) are priced at Rs. 70 per kg, small local tomatoes at Rs. 34 per kg, small Indian tomatoes at Rs. 45 per kg, and small Terai tomatoes at Rs. 45 per kg. Red potatoes cost Rs. 26 per kg, Indian red potatoes Rs. 25 per kg, and dried Indian onions Rs. 38 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs. 50 per kg and Terai carrots at Rs. 40 per kg. Local cabbage costs Rs. 40 per kg, Terai cabbage Rs. 35 per kg, and round cabbage Rs. 35 per kg. Local cauliflower is priced at Rs. 30 per kg, Jyapu cauliflower at Rs. 45 per kg, and Terai cauliflower at Rs. 35 per kg. Red radish costs Rs. 35 per kg, local white radish Rs. 15 per kg, and hybrid white radish Rs. 20 per kg. Long brinjal and round brinjal are both priced at Rs. 70 per kg.
Peas cost Rs. 50 per kg. Local ghee beans are priced at Rs. 80 per kg, hybrid ghee beans at Rs. 70 per kg, and rajma beans at Rs. 100 per kg. Flat beans cost Rs. 60 per kg, bitter gourd Rs. 180 per kg, sponge gourd Rs. 140 per kg, bottle gourd Rs. 75 per kg, ripe pumpkin Rs. 55 per kg, and green pumpkin (long and round) Rs. 25 per kg. Turnip costs Rs. 50 per kg, okra Rs. 130 per kg, sweet potato Rs. 70 per kg, bitter melon Rs. 55 per kg, taro root Rs. 65 per kg, and chayote Rs. 55 per kg.
Mustard greens (Rayo) are priced at Rs. 25 per kg, spinach at Rs. 35 per kg, cress at Rs. 30 per kg, mustard leaves at Rs. 25 per kg, fenugreek leaves at Rs. 40 per kg, green onions at Rs. 50 per kg, broad beans at Rs. 50 per kg, yam at Rs. 80 per kg, oyster mushrooms at Rs. 130 per kg, button mushrooms at Rs. 400 per kg, king oyster mushrooms at Rs. 300 per kg, and shiitake mushrooms at Rs. 1,000 per kg.
Broccoli costs Rs. 40 per kg, beetroot Rs. 70 per kg, moringa (drumstick leaves) Rs. 300 per kg, red cabbage Rs. 80 per kg, Jiri greens Rs. 60 per kg, knol khol Rs. 60 per kg, celery Rs. 180 per kg, parsley Rs. 400 per kg, fennel greens Rs. 40 per kg, mint Rs. 350 per kg, round radish Rs. 50 per kg, tamarind Rs. 180 per kg, bamboo shoots Rs. 130 per kg, tofu Rs. 150 per kg, gundruk Rs. 300 per kg, and tree tomato Rs. 280 per kg.
