Kathmandu Gorkhas defeated Lumbini Lions by 22 runs in Tuesday’s match of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
In the match held at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu Gorkhas lost the toss and were sent to bat first. They posted a target of 158 runs after scoring 158/8 in the allotted 20 overs.
Chasing the target, Lumbini Lions managed to score only 135 runs, and were bowled out in 19.1 overs. Kathmandu captain Karan KC claimed the final wicket to seal the victory.
Before this match, Kathmandu had played three games and Lumbini had played two, with both teams tied at 2 points each.
