Kiran Pandit has been appointed as the Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, following a recommendation from the Ministry of Finance. Prior to this appointment, Pandit was serving as an Executive Director at the central bank, currently working in the Foreign Exchange Management Department.
He brings extensive experience, having worked across multiple departments within Nepal Rastra Bank over the years.
With this appointment, one of the two vacant Deputy Governor positions has now been filled. The posts had remained vacant after the retirement of Nilam Dhungana and Bam Bahadur Mishra.
