The Labour Culture Party has suspended its Vice-Chair Rajkumar Tamang (also known as Devaraj Lama) after his arrest by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
Party Chair Harka Sampang issued a press statement confirming the suspension. He stated, “To ensure that there is no influence or pressure on the government investigation, Vice-Chair Rajkumar is suspended from his position with immediate effect until the investigation concludes.”
Tamang was arrested on Tuesday from Budhanilkantha Municipality–11, Kapan, in connection with an explosives-related case registered at the Panchthar District Police Office. He has previously served a jail sentence.
