Continuous rainfall has completely obstructed the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor. The road has been blocked since early Wednesday morning after a landslide struck at Belbagar in Jaimini Municipality-8.
According to Keshav Thapa, the Information Officer at the District Police Office Baglung, transportation has come to a complete halt, leaving travelers stranded on their way to their destinations.
Police reported that the landslide is massive and cannot be cleared as heavy rainfall continues. Thapa added that the road will be reopened once the rain subsides, with coordination among the Kaligandaki Corridor Project, contractors, and Baglung Municipality.
Meanwhile, citizens have been facing hardships as frequent landslides occur amid continuous rainfall.
