A dry landslide has blocked the Kalakhola section of the Baglung-Baleva road under the Kaligandaki Corridor. The massive landslide, which included rocks, has also obstructed the Baglung-Kushmishera road that connects Baglung Bazaar to the southern region.
Due to the corridor blockage, all vehicles traveling westward from Baglung through Gulmi, Syangja, Palpa, and Rupandehi have been unable to proceed. Similarly, vehicles heading north toward Mustang are also stuck on the road, according to police reports. Goods trucks coming from Bhairahawa are also halted at Kalakhola.
District Traffic Police Chief Gangaram Bik stated that continuous landslides are making it difficult to clear the road.
