A landslide has blocked the Mahakali Highway at Salsena in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality–5 this morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Kumar Rai, the landslide completely obstructed traffic after debris fell from above the road. Vehicles heading to and from Darchula have been stranded midway due to the road closure.
DSP Rai said that efforts are underway in coordination with the Road Division Office and local authorities to clear the debris and reopen the highway. The same section of the highway had also been blocked by a landslide on Tuesday.
