Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides, halting transportation along the Karnali Highway. Traffic has been obstructed after sections of the Surkhet–Jumla road collapsed at Kalikhola, Asmod, and Gagane Khola in Khadachakra Municipality–2, Kalikot.
According to Kalikot Police Chief DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat, the highway was blocked due to landslides, with reports of slides from Hulma to Dahikhola.
Efforts are currently underway to clear the debris. Landslides have frequently occurred along the Kalikot section of the Karnali Highway, particularly in Dahikhola, Gagane Khola, Asmod, and Hulma, during periods of heavy rainfall.
