Daily life in the Kathmandu Valley is gradually returning to normal following the deployment of the Nepal Army and other security forces to maintain law and order.
The Army has urged the public to remain indoors except for essential work and to immediately inform security personnel if they notice any suspicious or disruptive activity.
Security forces have been stationed at social, cultural, religious sites, as well as around private property to prevent further incidents.
Streets across the valley are heavily guarded by security personnel, though public movement and vehicular traffic remain limited. Security forces are also working to extinguish fires set by demonstrators targeting public and private property.
