The literary magazine Dharani has been unveiled at Dharindanda in Dumja, the birthplace of renowned literary figure Krishna Prasad Koirala.
The fourth issue of Dharani, the annual literary publication of Panipokhari Youth Club, Dumja, was released. The magazine was made public by Madhav Prasad Nyaupane, Chairman of the Sanatan Dharma Seva Committee; Deepak Shrestha, Chairman of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Gorkhapatra Corporation; Bachchu Koirala, Chairman of Nepal Teachers’ Federation, Sunkoshi Rural Municipality, among others.
Krishna Prasad Koirala was the father of three former Prime Ministers of Nepal—Matrika Prasad Koirala, Bishweshwar Prasad (BP) Koirala, and Girija Prasad Koirala. Similarly, Matrika Prasad Koirala, BP Koirala, and Tarini Prasad Koirala made significant contributions to Nepali literature. Dharanidhar Koirala, Shankar Koirala, and Mohan Koirala, who were also born in Dumja or had ancestral roots there, hold a distinguished place in Nepali literature.
