During the Genji movement, Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav’s house in Kalaiya was looted. Yadav’s son, Shatrudhan Yadav, stated that the group that vandalized and looted the house was not associated with the Genji movement but were separate thieves.
He said, “The group that broke into the house took all the jewelry and cash that had been saved for my sister’s wedding. They even burned crops such as rice, wheat, and lentils that were brought from our village fields.”
The Vice President’s daughter is scheduled to be married on Mangsir 8. The family reported that both the money and jewelry collected for the wedding were stolen.
Shatrudhan Yadav added that the house was not only vandalized but also caused emotional distress to the family, particularly his mother, Champadevi Yadav, who was already hospitalized due to illness. “We hadn’t even been able to enjoy living in the house we built over many years. Seeing it destroyed like this is deeply painful,” he said.
