Former Prime Minister and Co-Coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that the primary responsibility of the current government is to conduct elections in a peaceful manner. He made this remark while speaking at a program titled Collective Initiative for Peace, Stability and Prosperity, organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
He stated that along with ensuring peaceful elections, the government should also allocate time to reform certain structures where improvements are possible. Nepal further demanded that the government take immediate action against those involved in criminal activities during the Gen-Z movement, stressing the need to correct past mistakes and move forward cautiously.
Emphasizing Nepal’s rich natural and cultural resources, he said the government must move ahead with a strong commitment to properly utilize these assets to make the country prosperous. He also highlighted that all responsible stakeholders should work together with well-planned strategies driven by a genuine desire to develop the nation.
