The Central Committee of the CPN (Maoist Centre) is holding a meeting today. According to Maoist leader Haribol Gajurel, the meeting will begin at 1 PM this afternoon.
Gajurel said that the main agendas of the meeting are to endorse the unity agreement recently reached among nine leftist parties, including the CPN (Unified Socialist), and to approve the decisions made by the Secretariat meeting.
A few days ago, the Maoist Centre, Unified Socialist, and seven other leftist groups reached a unity agreement. Following its endorsement by the Central Committee, the parties are preparing to officially announce their unification.
The formal announcement of party unity is expected to take place on Kartik 19 (November 4).
