While monitoring the road expansion from Suryabinayak in Bhaktapur to Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchok, Minister Ghising noted that the current weather is suitable for construction and urged the project team to accelerate the work.
He requested that any pending decisions be finalized immediately, and that additional manpower and equipment be deployed to ensure full-scale construction, aiming to complete the road expansion by the upcoming Ashar. He also mentioned that the Ministry of Finance has already committed the required budget, so there would be no shortage of funds for the project.
The 15.8-kilometer stretch of the Suryabinayak–Dhulikhel road under the Araniko Highway is being expanded into six lanes in two packages.
The first package, covering 8.3 kilometers from Suryabinayak to Sangaa, has achieved 45% progress, while the second package, spanning 7.5 kilometers from Sangaa to Dhulikhel, has reached 55% progress. Construction on both packages is currently ongoing at a rapid pace.
