Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Mahabir Pun has warned that principals who fail to pay teachers’ salaries will face action.
In a social media post on Saturday morning, Minister Pun said he had received complaints from teachers about not being paid their salaries even as the Dashain–Tihar festivals approach. He cautioned that if the salaries are not distributed by Sunday (Ashoj 12), action will be taken against the responsible principals.
According to Pun, the Ministry of Education has already released the salary funds to the schools. If any principal or school management committee has unjustly withheld the payments, they must release the salaries immediately, he emphasized.
