Federal Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Bhagatvi Nyaupane, emphasized that the civil service must provide fast, simple, and transparent services to citizens through a technology-friendly, citizen-centered, and streamlined service system. He made these remarks on the occasion of the 22nd Civil Service Day, 2082 BS.
Minister Nyaupane highlighted that in today’s rapidly transforming world, the use of digital technology, artificial intelligence, big data, and innovative approaches is essential to make service delivery more effective.
Stressing that no nation’s governance system can function effectively without a professional and impartial civil service, he said that civil servants not only assist the government in policy-making but also play a critical role in implementation, service delivery, and development management.
“In a federal democratic republican system, a capable, transparent, accountable, and citizen-friendly administration is indispensable for achieving sustainable peace, good governance, development, and prosperity,” Minister Nyaupane stated. “Therefore, it has become mandatory for the civil service to provide citizens with quick, simple, and transparent services through technology-friendly and streamlined systems.”
He further added, “We can earn the trust of citizens by enhancing the capacity, professionalism, continuous learning, and improvement of civil servants. Today, building a responsible, ethical, results-oriented, and creative administrative structure is essential.”
Minister Nyaupane expressed his belief that Civil Service Day will further motivate all civil servants to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and its people and conveyed his best wishes on the occasion.
