
With the increasing influence of moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal, the monsoon has become somewhat active in some parts of the country. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the monsoon trough is currently located near its average position.
This afternoon, the weather will remain cloudy across the country with chances of light to moderate rainfall in the hilly regions of all provinces. Likewise, heavy rainfall is likely in some parts of Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Similarly, tonight the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. One or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces are likely to experience heavy rainfall.
The department has projected risks of landslides and debris flow, rising water levels in rivers and streams, and possible disruption of transportation services. It has urged everyone to remain cautious and make necessary preparations.
