
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that monsoon conditions continue to prevail across the country, with the monsoon trough positioned further south than average. Rainfall has been occurring in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
On Wednesday afternoon, most parts of the country are expected to be generally cloudy, while conditions will remain partly to mostly cloudy at night. According to the department, moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, including the hilly regions. One or two places in the hilly areas of these provinces may witness heavy rainfall.
The department has also warned of possible landslides and debris flows, a rise in water levels in rivers and streams, and potential disruption in the transport sector. It has urged the public to remain alert and adopt precautionary measures.
