
Monsoon winds continue to influence weather conditions across Nepal, with the monsoon trough currently positioned north of its average location, closer to the Tarai region, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The Weather Forecasting Division reports generally cloudy skies across the country. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring at several places in Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces, and at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as isolated areas in the remaining provinces.
Afternoon Forecast:
Skies will remain generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall at many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, and at some places in other provinces. Isolated areas of Koshi Province may experience heavy rainfall.
Nighttime Forecast:
Generally cloudy conditions are expected to persist. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, and at a few places elsewhere. One or two areas in Koshi and Bagmati may experience heavy rainfall.
Additionally, a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, along with isolated spots in Bagmati and Gandaki, may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The Department urges the general public and concerned authorities to stay updated with the latest weather information, as monsoon activity is expected to remain active across Madhesh and most parts of the country in the coming days.
