
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the monsoon has weakened in Nepal as the monsoon trough is located south of its average position. However, moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal continue to enter the country.
According to the Department, skies across the country will generally remain cloudy on Sunday afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some parts of the Tarai and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces, as well as the Tarai and hilly regions of Madhesh Province and other provinces. One or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces may experience heavy rainfall.
Similarly, tonight, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Sudurpaschim, and the hilly regions of other provinces, while partly cloudy conditions will prevail elsewhere. Moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of the Tarai and hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, along with a few places in the Tarai and hilly regions of other provinces. One or two places in the Tarai and hilly regions of Koshi Province may witness heavy rainfall.
