The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently located south of its average position. On Wednesday afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country, with moderate rainfall likely in some areas of Lumbini Province, the hilly regions, and parts of the Terai.
Tonight, Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, along with hilly regions, will remain generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall is forecast in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in certain hilly regions of other provinces. One or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Terai, and Bagmati Provinces may witness heavy rainfall.
The Department has warned of possible landslides and debris flow due to rain, rising water levels in rivers and streams, and potential impacts on transportation. Citizens are urged to stay alert and take precautionary measures.
