The monsoon trough is currently situated near its average position. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected across the country on Friday.
During the afternoon, moderate rainfall is likely at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, particularly in the hilly regions, while light to moderate rain is also expected at a few places in the Terai.
Heavy rainfall is possible at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in both the Terai and hilly regions of Lumbini Province.
On Friday morning, rainfall was already recorded in different parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
For the night, generally cloudy skies are forecast over the hilly regions, while partly cloudy conditions will prevail in other areas. Moderate rainfall is likely at some hilly locations and at a few places in the Terai. Additionally, heavy rain is possible at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Sudurpashchim provinces.
