
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the monsoon trough is currently located south of its normal position. Additionally, moist winds are flowing into Nepal from the Arabian Sea, contributing to widespread cloud formation and rainfall activities.
At present, skies remain generally cloudy over Madhesh, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and the hilly regions of other provinces, while other areas are experiencing partly cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
During the daytime on Monday, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the country. Moderate rain is likely at some locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, and at a few places in other hilly and Terai regions. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Tonight, skies across Nepal will remain mostly cloudy. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in Sudurpaschim Province, at a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, and at isolated locations in the Terai region.
