Kathmandu — Dr. Bhim Rawal, founder of the Motherland Awakening Campaign, Nepal, has said that the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) must take responsibility for leading the nation toward economic and social prosperity.
Addressing the unity declaration ceremony between his campaign and the NCP today, Dr. Rawal stated that ensuring national security, creating employment, and opening the door to prosperity are now the key responsibilities of the party.
“Nepal is rich in natural resources; the rights of Nepalis over these resources must be ensured to draw the line of prosperity,” he said. “Protecting the nation and ensuring the safety of its people must be the first duty. The party should introduce a national security policy to safeguard our borders and guarantee the security of both public and private property.”
NCP leader Pampha Bhusal said that along with economic and social transformation, the party now bears the responsibility of leading the socialist revolution by uniting all revolutionary communist forces.
“A few days ago, ten communist factions united, and today the Motherland Awakening Campaign has also merged with the NCP,” she said. “The process of communist unification will continue until there is one strong communist party in the country.”
Similarly, Prakash Bahadur Shah, central member of CPN-UML, said he joined the NCP with the belief that revolutionary communists must unite to solve the nation’s problems.
“UML failed to uphold the legacy of Pushpalal and the ideals of people’s leader Madan Bhandari,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Pramod Narayan Yadav, General Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party (Labor), expressed his commitment to taking the NCP’s unity campaign to the grassroots level, stating that the resolution of people’s livelihood issues is only possible through this party.
