The new release date for the movie ‘Soltini’, starring Prakash Saput and Pariksha Limbu, has been announced. The film will now be released on Kartik 6 (Nepali calendar) during Bhaitekha.
An interesting aspect of this movie is that the executive producer role is taken by the active civic responsibility group ‘Hark Sampang Revolution and Team’, led by Mayor Hark Sampang of Dharan Metropolitan City.
Directed by Arjun Subedi, the film features, alongside Prakash and Pariksha, actors Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Ravindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatri, among others.
Four different posters hint that the story revolves around love, culture, and rural life. One poster particularly highlights the romantic chemistry between the lead pair.
The movie aims to raise voices against inhumanity and caste discrimination in society, while the love story between the two main characters remains its central attraction. Filming took place in scenic locations like Ilam Bazaar, Biblyante, Kanyam, Birtamod, Pathari, and Bhojpur.
The music is composed by Prashant Shivakoti and Hercules Basnet, and cinematography is handled by Susan Prajapati. The script is written by Arjun Subedi and Kumar Bhattarai.
Produced through the collaboration of Planet Three Films and YOLO Entertainment, the movie’s producers are Regina Bista and Sansar Chaulagai, with co-producers Roshan Chaulagai, Basant Kutuwal, and Sujan Adhikari.
Royal Bhimsen and Trident Concept designed the posters and publicity materials. T-Falks Films will distribute the movie in Nepal, and OSR Digital has acquired its digital rights.
