The Muglin–Narayangarh road section will be closed for two hours this afternoon.
The road near the Tuin Khola Bridge in Ichchhakamana, Chitwan, which was blocked by a landslide, will be temporarily closed from 1 PM to 3 PM on Monday to restore two-way traffic.
The Road Division Office, Bharatpur, issued a notice stating that while vehicles are currently moving in one direction, the two-hour closure is necessary to make the road fully two-way again.
The notice reads: “Currently, the Muglin–Narayangarh road near Tuin Khola Bridge is operating as a one-way road. To completely remove the landslide and restore two-way traffic, the District Administration Office, Chitwan has decided to halt vehicles from 1 PM to 3 PM today while landslide removal work continues. All vehicles are requested to follow lane discipline during this period.”
After being fully blocked for two days, the landslide on the Narayangarh–Muglin road was cleared, and one-way traffic resumed Sunday evening. However, another landslide occurred near Tuin Khola last night, temporarily blocking the road again. One-way traffic resumed this morning after clearing this new landslide.
The Road Division Office, Bharatpur, stated that all remaining landslides will now be removed to restore full two-way traffic.
