The Nakkhu Prison administration has issued a public appeal urging inmates and detainees who escaped from the prison premises last Tuesday to surrender without delay.
In a statement released Friday, the administration warned that continued evasion would lead to harsher enforcement of legal penalties. It also cautioned that absconding could negatively affect the prisoners’ future legal rights, entitlements, and prospects for social reintegration.
“The prison administration appeals to all escaped inmates to immediately establish contact and surrender, showing respect for law, justice, and social responsibility, and to actively cooperate in maintaining public peace and order,” the statement read.
The administration also assured that those who come forward will have their rights protected and will be supported in the reintegration process in accordance with existing legal provisions.
