Nepal’s National Assembly has unanimously approved the decision to withdraw the Social Media Bill, 2081. The decision was endorsed during Monday’s meeting of the upper house, formally removing the bill that had been under consideration in the Assembly.
Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, Tulasakumari Dahal, presented the committee’s report related to the Social Media Bill, 2081, to the Assembly. The withdrawal followed a decision made by the Council of Ministers on Magh 21, which had granted approval to take back the proposed legislation.
