Nepali Congress lawmaker Durlabh Thapa has said that the proposal against Deputy Speaker Indira Rana was brought forward due to political necessity, citing her conduct as inconsistent with the position.
Speaking to journalists at Singha Durbar, Thapa argued that issues must be addressed at the right time, and removing the Deputy Speaker has now become necessary.
“Any action is taken when the need arises. Right now, the need has arisen, so this step has been taken,” Thapa stated.
